So I know it's been a super long time since I've updated with anything substantial or thought-provoking, but my days have been filled with random acts of boredom and other random things not worth mentioning. I've been drawing here and there, taking pictures in spurts (though not nearly as many as I should be taking), and painting intermittenly, mostly water colors. Okay, all watercolors, so sue me. I'm also in a math course at the good ol' ACC (but you knew that I think), and have been getting in bed earlier than usual of late, which has been a very, very good thing for me (less time for me to be alone at night, thinking).

I'm getting into the swing of things at Lane Bryant, learning how to do a lot of things I couldn't possibly ever need again (unless of course I get another job down the line in retail), such as taking and sending credit cards applications for approval (and holy HoHos, I SUCK at it), how to board-fold clothes (and I will say this- the technique I learned for folding jeans ROCKS.... I might have to do my closet;)), and how to stop people from shoplifting while being nice, though I can't really do a dang thing (according to company policy) if they have their heart set on walking out that door with the merchandise. Oh, and I must say I DO fold a mean shirt (they make me do it when I'm there cuz I'm a freaking perfectionist about it). But at any rate, I'm a semi-working girl now, that is, as soon as I get some respectable hours (next week I work a lot more, which is a huge relief- I'm definitely in this for the money, although the 40% discount isn't too hard on the eyes. ;)). I think I might end up having to get a second job, though. Ah well, that's what the summer's for, eh?

So I guess I'll leave you with the latest doodle in my arsenal (that didn't even make sense- I need to go to bed). Ted, his girlfriend Ashley, and her sister Kristi came into town today and we did random things including going to Chuy's, going to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith (FANTASTIC by the way I think), and grilling steaks for dinner. It was fun. Anyhoo-hoo, I drew this right quick while they were at the grocery store, asked Ashley if she wanted to keep it, she said yes, and I gave it to her to take home. ;) Love you, Ash.

The Before Picture (I took it like a year ago):

The After Picture (drawn tonight):

I hate the shading under their chins, but I drew it in pen, so I couldn't erase it anyway. And her mouth is weird. Oh, and ignore the mark on her chin, that's something that blew onto the paper or something as I was taking the picture, I didn't draw it there. Sometimes I think I'm way too crititcal of my own stuff. I like this, but it's just not that good. I don't quite know how to explain it, so I'll stop trying. Ah well. Maybe if I'd gone slower or whatever, instead of this quick 15-, 20-minute sketch.

Thoughts?
