I know I used this picture already, eat me. It works.

You know the feeling. When you wonder, just for that split second, if maybe driving off the road instead of around the bend would be more exciting. Not suicidal, just bored. Maybe just giving the cold steering wheel one good, hard yank off the cliff, just to see if you'd survive. To see if you'd walk away. It would give life some spice. It's at times like these that you break out into a cold, clammy sweat and grip the wheel until your knuckles turn white. It lasts for no more than a second, but that second really shakes you up, ya know? And as you safely round that fateful bend, you wonder what might have happened. Would you be in the hospital right now? With your loved ones gathered to watch over you? Or would you be dead? Maybe just paralyzed? It's crazy how you think of what would change in your life if you just "didn't give a damn."
It doesn't have to be drastic, maybe just rolling off the shoulder and getting a little bit of a bumpy ride would do it. But then again, maybe not. Maybe what you want is drastic. Maybe you want something drastic to happen, just SOMETHING to happen. Something to change your life in some way. Just to make things different. Just to see what might have happened.
But then you wake up to the road still winding ahead of you, grey and silent, and it hits you. Your eyes suddenly focus again, you shake your head to clear the cobwebs, unfurl your brow, loosen the death grip on the wheel, and release your poor lip from the confines of your teeth. As you feel the little dimple left there in your lip, you realize you don't even remember biting it in the first place. As your body relaxes, you start to smile.
You have a great life. You're in limbo right now; who cares if it's not exciting? It can be. You're a sophomore in college. You make whatever you want of your life. God will take you places you never thought could be possible. Who cares if you're terrified? Who cares if the only reason you haven't driven off the road is because you're too scared? The time will come when you will have the courage. You'll know when the time is right, when it's time for you to come out of hiding, to embrace the fact that you just have to move on. God will give you the strength you'll need, and as cliche as that sounds, you'll understand it when it happens. Just don't be too busy trying to be invisible to notice when your opportunity for greatness comes along, or that one who is supposed to be your companion in the journey is suddenly running beside you. Do you agree? No? Just me? Okay then.
