I watched this show on PBS tonight (yeah, yeah, I know, I'm a nerd- so what?!). It's called the Dolphin Defender, and it's about this man who basically, for lack of a better description, defends dolphins. Ha. Anyway, he tries to save them. They showed this picture of a beach in Japan. There were men standing on the shore, and I kid you not: the sea was red. They were slaughtering HUNDREDS of dolphins, and this man had filmed them. They showed it on the show, and oh my gracious, it was horrible. They were piled on top of each other, writhing, screaming, and crying out, and they were just being stabbed cold-heartedly, killed. How awful is that?! Oh, my gosh. He showed this film around the world, and thankfully, the movie resulted in international uproar. So many reporters showed up in the Japanese village that the villagers thought themselves a disgrace to the country, and stopped hunting the dolphins. I don't know what to say except thank goodness. I love those beautiful creatures, and to see such mindless carnage is heartbreaking.

Okay, enough with the nerdage, haha. So sue me. I had nothing else to write about. :)
